Goal

Stay off the injury list

Build the robustness to train consistently and resist the common niggles cycling creates, so the work never stops, with cycling-specific S&C in Soho, London.

Injury Resilience & Robustness

The biggest thing that derails progress is not a bad session, it is the weeks you lose to a niggle. Cycling is repetitive and one-sided, and it tends to leave the same gaps: a stiff back from the position, cranky knees, weak hips, and a neglected upper body. Left alone, those gaps become the injuries that stop you training.

This goal is about robustness. We assess where you are vulnerable, then build the strength, mobility, and structural balance that make you harder to break. It is not rehabilitation and it does not replace a physiotherapist, but as part of the founder mission to build resilient, structurally efficient riders, it is some of the most valuable work you can do. The aim is simple: stay healthy enough to train consistently, because consistency is what actually makes you faster.

What's involved

  • An assessment of the weak points and imbalances cycling tends to create
  • Strength work for the hips, trunk, and posterior chain that protect your position
  • Mobility built as usable, controllable range in the places riders get stiff
  • Upper-body and structural work that the bike never asks for
  • Sensible load management so training stays consistent and setback-free

Common
questions

Can strength and conditioning really reduce my injury risk?

Done well, it tends to. Building stronger, more resilient muscles, tendons, and connective tissue, and addressing weak points before they become problems, is one of the most effective ways to stay healthy. We assess first and load progressively. It is not a guarantee, but staying able to train consistently is a big part of long-term progress.

Is this the same as physiotherapy or rehab?

No. This is performance and robustness training, not clinical rehabilitation. If you have a current injury under treatment, we ask you to clear it with your physiotherapist or doctor and we coach within their advice. The work here is about preventing the common niggles and building durability, not diagnosing or treating an injury.

I keep picking up the same niggle. Will this help?

Often, yes. Many recurring niggles come from weak points or imbalances that targeted strength and mobility work can address. We assess where yours are and build the programme around them. If it is a current injury under treatment, we coach within whatever your clinician advises while we build robustness around it.
